We were not given the option to order a valence with a partial return on the sides. Thus we can see the edge the metal mounting bracket. I thought we would be getting a wand, but perhaps I ordered wrong. We have an older house built in the 60’s with 4″ stud exterior walls. These are too thin for a completely recessed blind, so we have them semi-recessed as I’m sure many folks do.

Ordered 2 blinds for our pretty large great room windows 43 x 103”. One was packed tight, keeping the blind inside from moving during shipment. The other not so much, the blind was loose and easily moved around inside the box.
